Can the world see my website?

The DNS Checker gives you a quick rundown of loactions around the world trying to see your site across the internet.

Simple HTML Website Search Engine

The SSEP "Course Web" PHP script works in a simple straight forward way, indexing a website and providing links as the result of a search of that website from a simple search form that can be added to the website itself. Download the script at Sourceforge

Caveats: The search engine is unforgiving for certain kinds of anamolies found on a web page, for example if the title or meta-description is too long, of if the title tag includes a "–" hyphen in the title. Also, if there are unusual foreign language characters on the page, or sometimes Twitter embed codes also causes a problem.

To install, must be able to create MYSQL DB for the script to store the crawled indexed data.

The DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE error

Troubleshoot this issue by trying to reach the problematic website using other browsers. If you're using Chrome, for example, try Firefox or Opera, see if you get the same result. If you do not get the same result, then the issue resides with the problematic browser.

Things to try:

1) If you are using a WINDOWS machine, try changing the settings for alternative DNS enabled.

2) Are you using a software program to make your internet connections via a VPN? If so, change the VPN location or turn it off/on to see if that stops The DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE error from appearing.

3) Do you have Firewall settings on your machine that could be causing the problem? Change them and check again for the The DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE error. If that solves it, remember to go back and turn on your FIREWALL SETTINGS again afterward, you should not leave your machine "unprotected."
